Favorites from PreSum20:
The Annual Presentation Conference

Every year, we attend our favorite presentation conference, the Presentation Summit. This conference brings together everyone that works in the presentation industry, from speakers to designers to event producers.

Last year we got to meet up in person, but 2020 was a whole new rodeo: the Summit went virtual!

While you might expect that a virtual platform would lack the community and inspirational impact of an in-person conference, we were pleased to experience the opposite. We learned, we laughed, and we made new friends.

Highlights from this year’s presentation conference:

Connecting with Audiences with Sally Zimney

Presentation Conference BeMovedEspecially poignant this year were those sessions focused on how to create connection over virtual platforms. The ever effervescent Sally Zimney did just that. Fun to watch and inspiring, Sally works as a speaker coach and shared many of her tips for connecting with audiences even when you can’t be face-to-face.

The Guru Session with everybody!

Presentation Conference Guru Session

It can’t really be a conference without some face-to-face social time. Covid-19 has robbed us of quite a lot this year, but video conferencing has given us back at least a little normalcy.

At the Guru Session, which is so named because of its origins as a late-night expert rap session, we all get together to hear from well-known experts, meet new faces and share some fun with some online games.

Assuming health and safety allow, the Presentation Summit will be a hybrid experience next year. Come join us in sunny Clearwater Beach, Florida! Or, if you prefer to telecommute, that option will be available. Either way, get ready to have a lot of fun and learn a lot about presentations.
